How star naming works

Choose a real star, give it a name, and find it in our 3D universe — here is exactly what that means.

Is the star real?

Yes. Every CosmoNova star is a genuine, visible star with real celestial coordinates (right ascension and declination). We never assign the same star twice.

What you actually get

Is it scientifically recognized?

The name is recorded in the CosmoNova registry, not in official scientific catalogs maintained by bodies such as the IAU. It is a heartfelt commemorative gift — and we are upfront about that.

Can I choose the constellation?
Yes — pick from the 12 zodiac signs, or let us assign a bright, visible star for you.
How do I find my star later?
Use your registration number in our 3D viewer and Star Page to locate it any time.
